This acclaimed choir under the direction of Mr. Thomas Wise will present a selection of traditional and contemporary music ranging from “And The Glory of the Lord” composed by George Frederic Handel to “I’ve Been in the Storm So Long” a traditional spiritual arranged by Mark Hayes. 

A number of students from our local area participate in the choir.  You will not want to miss this wonderful musical experience and the chance to support these talented students.  The concert is free, nursery is provided and Children’s Worship is available for students from Kindergarten through 4^th grade.

New Covenant Community Church

The community is invited to attend the Harvest Dinner and Night of Music on Saturday, October 15 at the New Covenant Community Church Ministry Center located at 284 Slab Rd, Delta, PA 17314. 

A dinner featuring salad, traditional chili, vegetable chili, hot dogs, rolls, drinks and dessert will be served at 5:00 PM.   Seating is limited for this free meal and tickets are required. Tickets are available on a first come first served basis and can be obtained by emailing your name, contact number and number of tickets needed to info@nccchurch.com  or by calling the church office weekday mornings between 9:00 am and noon.

The Night of Music will begin at 7:00 PM and will feature internationally known trumpeter and recording artist, Don Shire along with vocalist Dee Jones.   There is no cost for the concert and a free will offering will be received to support Don Shire Ministries.  Reservations are not required for the concert and seating for the concert begins at 6:30 PM.  Childcare for children up to fourth grade will be available during the concert.

Don Shire appears frequently on Christian TV and radio and is regarded by many as one of the finest Christian trumpet players in the United States. His college education was at Moody Bible Institute in Chicago where he was a double major in Music and Christian Education. In Ministry, Don has previously served as an Associate Pastor, Youth Pastor and Minister of Music. As a businessman, Don has been the president of two computer related businesses.

He currently is the featured guest in concerts, mission conferences and evangelistic outreach throughout the United States and 33 other countries.  Music from Don’s 8 compact disc recordings can be heard on radio across the United States as well as many other countries.

 Don also co-hosts a weekly radio program aired in the state of Wisconsin. He also coordinates short-term mission trips for church groups and individuals throughout the world.

Dee Jones currently resides in Baltimore, Maryland.Growing up in Virginia, Dee was born into a musical family. At a young age she was launched into music ministry, but knew she wanted to become a nurse when she grew up. After obtaining degrees in Early Childhood Education, a BSN and a Master’s Degree in Nursing, she continued to lead worship and perform special music worldwide. Dee has appeared with renowned gospel artists such as Andre Crouch, Michael W. Smith, and others.

Clothing Connection at

New Covenant Community Church

The C.A.R.E.S. ministry at New Covenant Community Church invites the community to participate in the “Fall Into Autumn” Clothing Connection  slated for Saturday, October 22 from 8:00 AM to 1:00 PM at 284 Slab Road, Delta, PA 17314.

Gently worn clothing from newborn through adult sizes, shoes and new undergarments and socks will be available at no cost.  Members of the community are encouraged to browse and select any of the clothing items they can use.

Clothing donations are being accepted at the church on weekday mornings from 9:00- noon, Wednesday evening from 7:00 – 8:30 and Sunday mornings.

The C.A.R.E.S. (Christians Acting responsively to ease Situations) seeks to demonstrate God’s love by providing services and resources to members of the local community to ease earthly situations.  Ministry activities include collecting and distributing non-perishable food items, collecting donations of gently used clothing to be distributed at no cost at a “Clothing Connection” during the fall and spring and arranging seasonal workdays to assist in home/yard maintenance for seniors in the community.

The popular Wednesday Kid’s Connection children’s program at New Covenant Community Church will kick off the 2011-2012 year with Family Night on Wednesday, September 14 beginning at 6:00 PM at the 284 Slab Road Delta, PA ministry center.

 Bring the whole family for opening night of Wednesday Kid’s Connection and enjoy a spaghetti dinner, salad, garlic bread ,drinks and dessert from 6:00 – 6:45 for a donation of $3.00 per person or a maximum donation of $10.00 for the entire family, followed by the  exciting Explore God’s Creation Reptile Show from 7:00 – 8:00

 The reptile show is presented by Herpetologist Jesse Rothacker from the Forgotten Friend Reptile Sanctuary and features fifteen reptiles from your own backyard and around the world, including all four families of reptiles: snakes, lizards, turtles, and crocodilians!     

Wednesday Kid’s Connection meets every Wednesday evening from 6:30 – 8:00 pm and includes games, snacks, Bible study, crafts and special events for children 4 years old through 6^th grade.  There is no cost to participate.

 Jesse is a long-time reptile enthusiast, wildlife author and photographer, and the Founder and President of Forgotten Friend Reptile Sanctuary, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit reptile rescue and education organization. Jesse is also the Children’s Pastor at Ephrata Community Church and the “Critter Correspondent” for the Kids Cookie Break radio show on WJTL 90.3.
