Lanny Kilgore, Senior Pastor and his wife, Jocelyn
My name is Lanny Kilgore. I’m the founding pastor of New Covenant, which started in August, 1989. My wife, Jocelyn and I have lived in Airville since 1972 after I served four years in the U.S. Air Force. We are the parents of four adult sons and have a growing list of grand children.
I grew up in Lambertville, New Jersey, where I met my wife in my last year of High Schoool. My father was a pastor with the Assemblies of God. I accepted Christ at an early age but didn’t respond to a call on my life to minister full-time until mid-life. I am a graduate of Lancaster Bible College, Lancaster Theological Seminary and Millersville University. I haved earned degrees in Bible, Religion and Educational Counseling. As senior pastor, I am responsible for most of the preaching and the leadership of the Elder Team.
I enjoy reading, woodworking and landscaping. Music is also a passion of mine. I particularly love the worship music of the Brooklyn Tabernacle Choir. I am also growing an appreciation for travel and the beautiful scenery throughout the United States. I love to introduce people to the Church of Jesus Christ, watch lives transform and help them develop their gifts for ministry. I am really excited when I see a person discover and develop their potential and gifts for ministry.

Art Dean, Associate Pastor and his wife, Becky
My name is Art Dean, I was born in Altoona, Pennsylvania in October of 1955. My family moved to Lancaster County when I was in the fourth grade. The oldest of four boys I graduated from Penn Manor High School in Millersville Pennsylvania and served in the U.S. Army from 1973 to 1975. After returning home from the military I met Becky, who was from Windsor in York County and we were married in 1977. I worked as a maintenance electrician at a Lancaster printing company, completed an apprenticeship program and became a printing press operator. I completed one year of study at Lancaster Bible College before accepting a full time position in printing sales. I worked for seventeen years for a Lancaster Book Manufacturing company serving in sales, sales and production management and was Vice President and General Manager prior to leaving in 1996. I began to consider returning to the ministry calling that I felt many years ago and God opened the door for service at New Covenant Community Church. Beginning as a volunteer I served in a part time capacity for one year before becoming full time in September of 2004. I have resumed my studies at Lancaster Bible College and plan to earn an Associates Degree in Bible. I was ordained into the ministry by New Covenant Community Church in April 2006 and currently serve as Associate Pastor. My responsibilities are to oversee the leaders of our ministries here at New Covenant. I also assist the senior pastor with teaching and some preaching.
Becky and I are the parents of three grown children Moriah, Meghan and Bryan and are blessed with four grandaughters, Amber, Isabell, Emma and Natalia. Becky is currently a fulltime homemaker and grandmother. Her interests include reading, crafts, shopping and animals, she has bred and raised a variety of farm show animals and operated “Pequea Exotic Pets” raising Pot Bellied Pigs in the 1980’s . She operated market stands at Root’s Market and Green Dragon Market in Lancaster County for several years selling a variety of craft items. Becky and I operated “Mats from Flats” a tire recycling business for several years full time doing craft shows throughout this geographic region. Becky is active in many ministry areas and serves with me in ministry together.

Dan Good, Youth Director and his wife, Laura
My name is Dan Good, I was born in Reading, Pennsylvania in June of 1978. My dad was the pastor of a small Mennonite church in Reading. I am the third of seven children. My parents taught me the importance of love and service through their example providing foster care for children, three of which became my brothers.
I took up plumbing after high school, but soon recognized my desire to work with youth. As I had different mission and volunteer opportunities with youth, I realized I was enjoying that more than plumbing. So I enrolled at Millersville University and graduated in 2004 with a Bachelor of Arts in Social Work. I continued working with the electrical company that I was working for in college and was asked to manage a new plumbing division in 2006.
While at Millersville I met Laura and we decided to get married in June of 2003. She was already working for the LIU #12, teaching a preschool class at Shrewsbury Elementary School. In the beginning of 2005 we moved to Airville and began attending New Covenant Community Church. I started volunteering at New Covenant’s youth ministry, ”The Pulse” in the fall of that year.
At the beginning of 2008 God started impressing on my heart that it was time for a career change. Shortly after I informed my business partners, I was informed that the youth director position was opening at NCCC. As I sought God’s direction for my life, the doors opened for me to pursue youth ministry. My business partners were gracious enough to allow me to reduce my responsibilities, allowing the time needed for youth ministry at NCCC. I am looking forward to seeing God continue to work through “The Pulse” to minister to the youth at NCCC and in our community.
My name is Susan Miller, I am proud to lead the worship team here at New Covenant. I was born in York, Pa in November of 1978. I am the fourth girl in a family of five females. After graduating from Red Lion in 1997, I attended college at Millersville University and York College. I majored in Elementary Education but after two years, met and married my husband Kenton Miller. Kenton and I have two young daughters; Madelyn was born in 2000 and Marleigh was born in 2003. We live in a home we built on Kenton’s parents farm near Felton, Pa.
I joined the worship team as a vocalist shortly after I started attending New Covenant. I have always loved music and sang in a bluegrass band. After several years of serving as a volunteer, I had the opportunity to accept a staff postion in June, 2006.
As the worship director, I am developing as a leader and taking keyboard lessons. I plan to grow myself in becoming all God wants me to be so that with God’s help, our worship and music ministry at New Covenant can be a glory to God–our purpose in life.
