Meet our Staff
My name is Lanny Kilgore. I’m the founding pastor of New Covenant, which started in August, 1989. My wife, Jocelyn and I have lived in Airville since 1972 after I served four years in the U.S. Air Force. We are the parents of four adult sons and have a growing list of grand children. You can find me on facebook, just search for my name.
I grew up in Lambertville, New Jersey, where I met my wife in my last year of High School. My father was a pastor with the Assemblies of God. I accepted Christ at an early age but didn’t respond to a call on my life to minister full-time until mid-life. I am a graduate of Lancaster Bible College, Lancaster Theological Seminary and Millersville University. I haved earned degrees in Bible, Religion and Counseling. As senior pastor, I am responsible for most of the preaching and the leadership of the Elder Team.
I enjoy reading, woodworking and landscaping. Music is also a passion of mine. I particularly love the worship music of the Brooklyn Tabernacle Choir. I am also growing an appreciation for travel and the beautiful scenery throughout the United States. I love to introduce people to the Church of Jesus Christ, watch lives transform and help them develop their gifts for ministry. I am really excited when I see a person discover and develop their potential and gifts for ministry.
My name is Art Dean, I was born in Altoona, Pennsylvania in October of 1955. My family moved to Lancaster County when I was in the fourth grade. The oldest of four boys I graduated from Penn Manor High School in Millersville Pennsylvania and served in the U.S. Army from 1973 to 1975. After returning home from the military I met Becky (Aults), who was from Windsor in York County and we were married in 1977. I worked as a maintenance electrician at a Lancaster printing company, completed an apprenticeship program and operated printing presses for a number of years before moving into printing sales, I worked for seventeen years for a Lancaster Book Manufacturing company serving in sales, sales and production management and was Vice President and General Manager prior to leaving in 1996. I began to consider returning to the ministry calling that I felt many years ago and God opened the door for service at New Covenant Community Church. Beginning as a volunteer I served in a part time capacity for one year before becoming full time in September of 2004. I resumed studies and graduated from Lancaster Bible College and was ordained into the ministry by New Covenant Community Church in April 2006 and currently serve as Associate Pastor. My responsibilities include coordinating with and resourcing the leaders of the many ministries here at New Covenant. I also assist the senior pastor with teaching and preaching.
Becky and I are the parents of three grown children Moriah, Meghan and Bryan and are blessed with four granddaughters, Amber, Emma, Natalia and Sadie. Becky is currently a homemaker, grandmother and serves as a teacher at the Mt. Nebo Methodist Church Pre School.
Our interests include reading, crafts, and animals, we have bred and raised a variety of farm show animals and operated “Pequea Exotic Pets” raising Pot Bellied Pigs as house pets. We operated “Mats from Flats”, a tire recycling business full time for several years doing craft and art shows throughout this geographic region and operated market stands at Root’s Market and Green Dragon Market in Lancaster County.
My name is Koren Anderson. I was born in June of 1976 in Glen Burnie, Maryland, the oldest of 3 children. My family moved to Stewartstown, where I attended Red Lion High School. I met my husband, Rod my junior year of high school. He graduated in 1993 and I followed in 1994. After graduation we both attended and graduated from York College. We were married in 1997. I worked full time in Sales and Marketing for a local hotel while Rod was and continues to be employed by York County MH/MR. In 2000 our daughter Allison was born followed by Ian in 2006 and Owen in 2008. I was blessed to be able to enjoy my children and scale back to working part time. In 2010 there became a vacancy in the Children’s Ministry Director position and I felt that God was calling me to become more active. Raising 3 children, 2 of which have medical and special needs and working part time out of the home I asked God how I would have time to do this. I continued to pray for God’s direction but did not mention this to anyone. At the same time, Pastor Lanny approached Rod and asked if we would be interested in the position of Children’s Ministry Director. I still continued to be hesitant and continued to pray asking God how we could possibly fit anything else into or already busy schedule. In March 2010 God supplied our answer. The hotel where I was employed experienced some changes and I was laid off. In April of 2010 Rod and I took over as head of the Children’s Ministry and have enjoyed working with the many volunteers to develop programs that teach our children to become Disciples of Christ. We are excited to see how God will continue to work in us and through us for the Glory of His Kingdom!
